I was strolling along the philosopher’s walk, thinking things over, when I saw this scene. I just composed the frame so that the canal led from the bottom of the frame, to the horizontal and vertical 1/3, in the upper right of the frame.

This is one of many shots I took that day where I wish I had brought my tripod. Because of the shade, I was shooting at the maximum aperture for the focal length, and a little slower than is ideal for a handheld shot.

I don’t know that there is any significance to the foot of this cauldron, or the cauldron itself for that matter, I just liked how the feet looked … wacky.
