I just got the Sony Handycam HDR-CX100 in silver and black. It captures full HD video, that’s 1920×1080 pixels. It also captures still images at 4 megapixels. Although taking pictures with your camcorder is a nice feature, the lack of manual control over the Sony HDR-CX100 makes its photo taking abilities on par with most cell phones today.

Currently the Sony HDR-CX100 is listed at a discount on the Sony website for 499.99, down from 599.99. But I got my Sony HDR-CX100 AVCHD HD Camcorder shipped to me from Amazon, for 397.00.

I can’t wait to use it!
