Windows 7 Upgrade For Sony Laptop

I purchased my Sony VAIO VGN-SR series laptop several months ago with Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium OS pre-installed. I was going to wait for the new Microsoft Windows 7 OS to be released in October, but Sony was offering a free Windows 7 Upgrade when it did come out. So, now, finally, today, on Black Friday, Windows 7 has arrived to my doorstep.

I must admit I am a little excited to try it out, in fact I was beginning to install it right now, but decided that I had better make another backup copy of the recovery discs for my current installation first. I should have taken care of this before, but I didn’t. So that’s what’s going on right now, I am backing up my old Vista OS; and shall forthwith proceed with installing 7. I’ll let you know how that turns out.
