On my first morning in Venice I decided I would wander over to Piazza San Marco, famous for its outdoor cafes and pigeons, among other things.  Although there were plenty of people already milling around the square in the early morning hours, these gondolas were idled along the water.  I liked the repeating lines that the posts and the gondolas made and wanted to capture that.
